ICA Cheer Competition Dates

While the competition dates HAVE NOT been finalized for JGEC yet, we do have the ICA's Competition schedule. By informing you of this early, you can take note of these dates to prevent any potential scheduling conflicts. JGEC wants to register for 4 of these competitions and of course, we plan on dominating at the State Competition!!


FIRST LOOK- August 25 @ NIU Convocation Center

CHEERCAGO- Saturday, September 7th - Sunday, September 8th @ Hampshire High School

CHEER WISHES- Saturday, September 21st - Sunday, September 22nd @ West Aurora High School

CHEER PINK- Saturday, October 5th - Sunday, October 6th @ Dundee Crown High School
 
FINAL FLING- Saturday, October 19th - Sunday, October 20th @ NIU Convocation Center

SPIRIT SPOOKTACULAR- Saturday, November 2nd @Huntley High School

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: November 14th - November 17th @ NIU Convocation Center

JGE Cheer is a member of The Illinois Cheerleading Association  (ICA).  Our competition teams will  compete in 3-4 Qualifying events/cheer competitions each season with the opportunity to earn a STATE BID and advance to the ICA STATE Cheerleading Championships the weekend of November 14th-17th  at the NIU Convocation Center.  

Coaches, Managers and Board Members will decide on the Events that each team will attend based on availability at the time of registration.  Your registration fees cover your cheerleader's entrance fee to each of the events (no refunds for missed competitions). Please reserve the entire day for each competition as we will not know exact team performance times until the week of the event.

ALL TEAMS WILL RECEIVE THEIR PERFORMANCE TIMES THE WEEK OF EACH COMPETITION OR AS SOON AS ICA PUBLISHES THE COMPLETE/FINAL ORDER OF PERFORMANCE. 

The 2024 State Cheerleading Championship Competition will be held at the NIU Convocation Center the weekend of November 24th-November 17th, 2024. Spectator entrance is FREE, however their is a $10 CASH parking fee per vehicle. 

2024 STATE fees will include the entrance into the state competition and also the competition gift fee.  Optional fundraising will be offered to help off-set State fees. This fee will be due in November.
